Waaaah. Ok I love a good found footage scary movie but this one is too real for me! I like my spooks with a little more ghost/paranormal stuff, and a little less man stalking woman.
But this makes me think about how computers/laptops have given us a new way to express narrative. I'm thinking of the movie Unfriended in particular. Have any of you seen it? The plot itself was rather predictable and cheesy (typical ghost slasher kinda thing) but I was intrigued by the way it was told entirely through live view of various characters computer screens. It is a really different experience to watch everything unfold on people's desktops and video cams, but it was oddly intuitive as well for someone like me who practically lives on her desktop. It's like found footage taken a step further...I wonder what's next?

Not a horror movie person; I agree, the trailer is a bit cheesy and the editing very contemporary...
